The Seven Last Words of Christ

Each year, the Evangelium Institute offers Catholics that serve as teachers in schools the opportunity to take part in a three-day retreat at the beginning of the summer break. This retreat takes place at the beautiful St. Benedict Center in Schuyler, NE.

 

The theme for our 2024 retreat is The Seven Last Words:

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...” (JN 1:14)

Our God is a God who chose to make his dwelling among human beings.  Because of this, He is a God who understands our temptations, our sufferings, and our struggles, as well as our joys and triumphs.  Why? Because He was and is one of us. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the last words of Jesus on the Cross. Through these words, Jesus teaches us about forgiveness, salvation, relationships, abandonment, distress, triumph, and reunion with the Father.   Join us May 28-30 for this year's retreat as we reflect on The Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ.

 

Each year we have been able to provide this retreat at a minimum of cost to teachers because of donations from generous people like you.  To help in sponsoring a particular teacher for our 2024 retreat, please contact eiteam@eicatholic.org.
